SK have been crowned champions of Moche XL Esports after defeating HellRaisers 2-0 (19-17 on Cache and 16-10 on Overpass).
The title decider kicked off on SK's map pick, Cache. HellRaisers got ahead early after winning their CT-sided pistol, in which Jake "Stewie2K" Yip found three opponents in a 1v5 situation but was unable to finish the clutch, and the subsequent anti-ecos.
SK then picked up the first gun round, and despite HellRaisers immediately countering them, they kept tearing apart the defense with a calm playstyle, losing just the final round of the half to switch sides with a 10-5 scoreline.
HellRaisers began the second half with a near-perfect Terrorist pistol, which marked the beginning of a great run from them. The Europeans lost a single round before securing a narrow 12-11 lead, but the Americans responded with a pair of rounds to hit their 13th on the board.
Even though HellRaisers then went on to reach map-point, the game would not be solved until overtime. There, SK managed take the lead in the series after prevailing in a hard-fought affair, ending 19-17, and with HellRaisers' Issa "ISSAA" Murad topping the scoreboard with a 1.27 rating.
Next up was HellRaisers' map pick, Overpass, but it was Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and co. who that started it off on the right foot. In fact, the map was the polar opposite of Cache as Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow's men could not put up a fight against the Brazilians, who lost just one of the first ten rounds.
HellRaisers found a lifeline by winning three of the following five rounds, reducing the deficit to 11-4 by half-time, but then SK responded with a flawless beginning of the second half of map two, making it to match-point. Although the Europeans still attempted a comeback by stringing six rounds together, SK remained calm and collected to seal the deal, 16-10.
